Barriere Construction Announces Leadership Transition
and Management Promotions
New Orleans, La - Barriere Construction Co, LLC has announced the transition of key employees to new management roles within the fourth generation, 70-year old highway and heavy civil construction company servicing both the public and private markets.
Effective January 1, 2019, Jason Latiolais began his new role as Vice President of Barriere’s Asphalt Operations. Latiolais assumed the responsibilities formerly held by James “Jim” Breland, Jr., who retired from Barriere after 16 years of dedicated service. In his new position, Jason will serve as a member of the Company’s Senior Executive Committee and is now responsible for leading Barriere’s three asphalt groups – located on the South Shore, North Shore, and in Baton Rouge. For the last three years, Latiolais served as Group Manager of Barriere’s North Shore Asphalt Group. He has been employed with Barriere for 10 years, and holds a Civil Engineering Degree from Louisiana State University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Southeastern University.
