Apprenticeship

The ABC New Orleans/Bayou Chapter is a Registered Apprenticeship Program offering registered apprenticeship through Louisiana Department of Labor. We are here to help employers navigate the process and track apprentice progess through their 2 to 4-year progam.  All courses are NCCER certified. The course is competency based, with testing for both technical knowledge and skill.

Apprenticeship training begins with the Core curriculum, which provides basic construction orientation for entry level trainees, before advancing to craft specific material. In addition to classroom work, trainees in the Apprenticeship Program are required to accumulate 2,000 hours of on-the-job training per year.

Please note: In order to become a Registered Apprentice, you MUST be working for a member company that participates in the Apprenticeship Program.
